This gyro only has 10 hours on the airframe.Air frame had the rotax 447 which was removed to install the 40 hour Hirth 65 HP engine with electric start. Gyro has a 3 blade Powerfin Prop. New set of Extended range Air Command fuel tanks included. Here is the very old original Air Command 447 Commander demonstration video; Part 1 of the 447 Commander Gyroplane original demo video. Since then I designed and made helicopters, and now been. Apc visio stencils smart ups. This Gyrocopter has been in a barn for the past 7 years. It has not been started in 7 years. I was going to restore it and fly it someday but I have lost my free storage and don't what to pay $100.00 a month to keep it inside. It does have its own trailer to transport it.

'Very good condition with 10 hours on airframe and 40 on engine'
Ultralight Gyrocopter built in 1986. I bought this gyro around 4 years ago which was never finished or flown. It was keep in a garage. I finished it and flew it for around 8 hours as a Ultralight with the 40HP 447 Rotax. It just didn't have enought power with the 40 HP Rotax engine so I installed the Hirth 65 HP engine which made a very big difference in performance. I'm selling my Air Command Gyrocopters due to changing hobbies at age 64. I'v flown Air Command gyrocopters since 1984 when they came out. They stole the market then as the best built gyrocopter since gyro's came out. Its still one of the best built and flying gyrocopters on the market. I have well over 1000 hours flying Gyrocopters. They are safe and a lot of fun to fly. They are so stable in hight winds as I have even flown them in a hurricane when I lived in Louisiana.

Air Command 447 Gyrocopter

I believe if I remember right Dennis Fetters AirCommand 447 gyro flew quite well on a 40hp with a 60in prop, 254lbs and a 23ft rotor
Chuck's flew very well with a rotax 503, 50hp stripped as much as possible, 240 lbs and 24ft rotor.
I build a KB2 a 90hp MAC, light as possible and flew quite well, a Gyrobee with a 503 stripped it flew ok, and a 3DRV with a rotax 503 and it flew ok.
I was going to build a LW ultralight but the only way it could make part 103 was uncovered and a 70hp Mac.
My question is really if you had a all up weight of say 250lbs, tractor engine, airframe covers so as to minimize drag, 24 ft rotors...how much hp could you get away with and still get atleast 500fpm climb?
